I finally got around to reading the last Harry Potter book.

I normally have no trouble getting through the Harry Potter books, usually finishing them in a day or two, but this one took me two weeks. Maybe I have too many distractions at home.

Admittedly, the ending wasn't quite what I was expecting. Perhaps Ms. Rowling left it wide open for a follow-up in the future just in case she decides her currently $1.1 billion of wealth isn't sufficient.

If I were to rank the series in order of favorite to least, I think it would go:

4, 3, 6, 7, 1, 2, 5

I'm not sure which sucks more: Being the rejector or the rejectee.

It appears that I may get the most awesome bill ever for the insurance claim I filed for my immunizations:

Billed amount: $151.01

Amount covered by network: $141.00
Co-pay: $10.00

Amount you owe: $0.01

Sometimes one's brain is awash with ideas and emotions that one cannot adequately put into words.

Sometimes one's brain is awash with ideas and emotions that they wish not to share for a variety of reasons. Perhaps the reader/listener/etc is involved. Perhaps the reader/listener/etc is not involved at all and would find the whole thing quite boring.

Sometimes one's brain is awash with ideas and emotions that are more adequately expressed with little black dots.

This is one of those times.

I don't believe any of the people who will read this are involved with these particular feelings. You're safe. :)

WARNING - Sarah, do not read beyond this point.

So I'm a bit of a Rush fan. I'm not obsessed with them by any means, but I like a lot of their songs. They have fun bass lines and some neat and unusual time signatures.

Every time their tour comes to Salt Lake, I try to go, and I fail every time.

This year proved no exception as they showed up here Monday, which was also my brother's birthday.

Perhaps I'm destined not to see progressive rock concerts in my lifetime. I still haven't managed to see Tool for the same reasons as Rush.

Maybe it's telling me that I need to change my taste in music.
